Impaired Driver Arrested in Ferdinand with Children Present

FERDINAND, IN – In the early hours of Saturday, October 21st, Trooper Jon Villanueva witnessed a vehicle nearly strike a gas pump at the Sunoco gas station near Ferdinand. The vehicle’s driver, Seantez Pearson, exited along with two small children. Pearson exhibited signs of impairment as he staggered towards the gas station. Trooper Villanueva approached Pearson and conducted a field sobriety test, during which Pearson failed one part and subsequently refused to participate in any further assessments. He also declined a chemical test. Further investigation revealed an outstanding warrant for Pearson’s arrest in Floyd County. The children were safely picked up by a family member, and Pearson was taken into custody and transported to the Dubois County Jail.
