Early Morning Incident in Tell City Leaves One Fatally Wounded

TELL CITY, IN – Early yesterday morning, at around 1:41 AM CST, law enforcement officers from the Indiana State Police, Tell City Police, and Perry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on State Road 145 in Tell City following a call for assistance regarding a dispute involving a possible weapon. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a male individual identified as 32-year-old Andrew Long Jr. of Huntingburg, who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound in the driveway of the residence. As of now, no arrests or charges have been filed, and the Indiana State Police continues to investigate the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and Long’s family has been notified. Authorities have stated that there is no existing threat to public safety. ISP detectives were aided at the scene by the Tell City Police Department, Perry County Sheriff’s Office, Perry County EMS, and the Perry County Coroner.
