Karen Sue Dye, 63, of Cannelburg, passed away at 5:02 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at her home.
She was born March 25, 1960 in Washington, Indiana to the late Anthony “Tony” and Billie Jo (Thompson) Hollander. Karen married Richard Dye on February 25, 2000.
Karen was a 1978 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School. She then attended Vincennes University. Over the years Karen worked for Boyd and Sons and then as a personal caregiver for her family. She was a member of the Loogootee Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Billie Jo Hollander; sister, Toni Kaye Hollander; grandparents, Bill and Helen Thompson and Joe and Mary Schultheis; and father-in-law, Rama Dye.
Karen is survived by her husband, Richard Dye; sister, Debra (John Pat) Hart; niece, Alisa Sergeant; nephews, Lance Dye, Anthony (Liz) Hart, Daniel Petry, and Andrew Petry; great-nieces and great-nephews, James, Ellie, and Thomas Hart and Lilly and Olivia Petry; mother-in-law, Bonnie Dye; sisters-in-law, Debbie Dye and Jeanie Petry; brother-in-law, Darrell (Terri) Dye; dear friend, Judeanne Delaney and many other friends who adored her.
