Incident at Sceptor Incorporated in Bicknell Results in Loss of Life

A devastating incident occurred at Sceptor Incorporated in Bicknell on Thursday, resulting in the loss of one of their employees.
The Knox County Coroner’s office has identified the victim as 64-year-old Oscar Sanders, who lost his life in a workplace accident. The tragic event unfolded when a large piece of equipment tipped over, trapping Sanders. Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies received the distressing call around 3:15 pm.
First responders swiftly arrived at the scene, working diligently to free Sanders and initiating life-saving measures. Despite their valiant efforts, they were unable to revive him.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation to determine the cause and any potential contributing factors.
Sceptor is renowned for its operations as an aluminum dross and recycling center, specializing in the production of various semi-fabricated aluminum products. In addition to their Bicknell facility, they maintain a presence with other plants across the United States in Tennessee and New York State, as well as international locations in Canada and Hungary.
