Washington School Board Approves Donations and Hires, Adopts 2024 Budget, and Greenlights Student Trips

In regular business, the Board accepted donations from Rory and Jodi Lee to the football, boys tennis, girls soccer, and band programs: $2,460 from Daviess Community Hospital for athletic physicals; from Memering Farms for the FFA; and from Alan Bubalo for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The Board approved hiring Cassandra Berry and Courtney Brown Grubbs as instructional assistants, along with a list of athletic ECA appointments.
In other business, the board also adopted the 2024 budget and budget resolutions, approved a trip to Perry Meridian for the Girls Robotics squad, and approved three out-of-state trips for the NJROTC.
At the end of the meeting, Superintendent Kevin Frank reminded everyone about the homecoming activities this evening. A special event will be the rededication of the newly remodeled Hatchet Hollow. The rededication ceremony will begin at 6:45 p.m.
