Born on June 9, 1937, to the late Arnold and Helen “Hollingsworth” Grabbe, Judy’s life was characterized by a deep love for her family and community. She was a devoted mother to her son, Billy Kiser of Bicknell, IN, and son-in-law Tom Tribe. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Nikki Mejean (Alvin) of Linton, IN; Tamara Hitt (Hunter) of Vincennes, IN; and Kiesha Urbain (Matthew) of Bicknell, IN. Judy’s joy was further multiplied by the birth of her great-grandchild, River Hitt. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Tammy Tribe and Tina Kiser and her parents.
Judy’s professional life was spent serving her community at the courthouse. She was a devoted member of the Bethel Church, where she found great joy in playing the piano, both there and at the Freelandville Methodist Church.
A woman of many talents, Judy had a passion for reading, cross-stitching, and sewing. She was known for her culinary skills, often delighting family and friends with her delicious homemade meals and baked goods. Her love for music was evident in her talent for playing the piano, which brought comfort and joy too many.
She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
