A garage fire in Vincennes led to approximately $20,000 in property damage. The incident occurred at 414 North 6th Street, where Vincennes firefighters were summoned at 8:24 p.m. on Monday. The property belongs to Janet Ivers, and the fire was swiftly contained and extinguished within approximately 15 minutes. Firefighters remained at the scene until around 11:30 p.m., and fortunately, no injuries were reported. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, led by the Indiana State Fire Marshal.
