Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum has announced that the city is again partnering with Republic Services for two citywide large item disposal days. On October 7th and/or October 14th, Republic Services, located on North 2nd Street, will be accepting oversized items that can’t be accommodated in regular trash bags. These items include mattresses, household furniture, large toys, and appliances that do not contain freon. It’s important to note that certain items will not be accepted, such as batteries, tires, paint cans, chemicals, and items containing asbestos or classified as e-waste. A valid photo ID with proof of address is required for drop-off.
