Entries are now being accepted for the 2023 Daviess County Christmas Parade. Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 2nd, when the parade will kick off at 6 p.m. If you’re planning to join the lighted parade, be ready for the lineup at 5 p.m. near NE 7th and Bedford Road. This year’s theme is ‘A Story Book Christmas.” You can qualify for prizes. The judging categories include Best Overall ($200/Trophy), Best Business/Commercial ($150/Trophy), and Best Non-Profit ($100/Trophy). Additionally, there’s a $100 cash prize and a coveted traveling trophy for the best lighted window display at a Main Street business. Float judging will occur during the lineup. Please refrain from including Santa in your parade entry. After the parade, Santa will be at Home Building Savings Bank, 200 N.E. 2nd Street, to spread joy among the children and share some treats.
