Police Response Leads to Arrest in Washington Vehicle Theft Case

On August 23, at around 9:00 a.m., officers from the Washington Police Department’s 1st shift swiftly responded to a report of a vehicle theft that had occurred overnight near HWY 57 and E Main St. Within a short time, patrol officers located the stolen vehicle in the vicinity of Ogdon and Greenwood St. The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Aarow Truelove from Montgomery. Detectives and officers pursued the investigation, leading them to a residence on Front St. At this location, a search yielded narcotics and paraphernalia. In a subsequent development, Truelove was found on NW 16th St. and apprehended smoothly and without incident. He now faces charges of theft (motor vehicle) and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. Furthermore, the suspect in the auto theft and pursuit case investigated by WPD’s 3rd Shift Sergeant was also determined to be Truelove.
