Knox Co. Municipal Election Lineup Confirmed: Bruceville’s Race Decided

knox-5

The lineup for the upcoming November municipal election has been finalized. Following a competitive town convention in Bruceville, where two Republican contenders vied for the position of Bruceville Clerk Treasurer, Lynnette Lanam emerged as the victor. Lanam’s victory ensures her automatic assumption of the role in January of the following year, as there are no Democratic opponents challenging her in the fall election. While Bruceville residents will head to the polls in November to cast their votes for three out of four town council candidates, the council race remains competitive. Among the candidates, three are Republicans, and one is a Democrat. According to Knox County Clerk David Shelton, the only locations with contested races in November are Bruceville and Vincennes. In contrast, Bicknell and several other small towns within the county have multiple candidates running, though none of them face opposition from opposing parties.
