The expo is not only a culinary delight but also a platform to promote and celebrate the availability of local foods. Attendees can look forward to a delectable meal crafted from locally sourced ingredients, including succulent Fischer Farms beef, farm-fresh produce contributed by the Fleck Hopf family, and crisp greens provided by the Sisters of Saint Benedict. Even the dessert, a homemade carrot cake, promises to be a treat for the taste buds.
Chef Phil Barth will showcase his culinary expertise in preparing this year’s feast. But the experience doesn’t end with just the meal. Ticket holders will also have the chance to sample beers from Yard Goat and wines from Butler Winery, a Bloomington-based establishment. Additionally, a cash bar will offer a selection of canned beers from various Hoosier breweries.
The event kicks off with a happy hour and a pop-up farmer’s market at 5 p.m., allowing attendees to explore and support local vendors. The culinary extravaganza itself will commence at 6 p.m., promising an evening of delicious food and community bonding.
