The leadership of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, will be transferred during a Change of Command Ceremony this morning at 10:30 a.m. Captain Rex Boonyobhas will accept command from Captain Douglas McKay, who will be retiring after 27 years of military service in the Navy. Crane is the largest tenant command located on Naval Support Activity Crane (NSA Crane) with approximately 3800 civilian employees. NSWC Crane is one of the largest employers in southwestern Indiana and has a $3 billion business base. Several guest speakers are scheduled for the formal ceremony on base at 10:30 a.m. this morning.
