Decker Town Board Candidates Elected in Republican Convention; Bruceville Prepares for Similar Vote

knox-5

On Monday evening, registered Decker voters chose three out of five Republican candidates competing for the Decker Town Board. With no Democratic candidates, the convention outcome determined the January 2024 officeholders since no November election would occur. Knox County Clerk David Shelton announced the winners: Ted Cooper, Jay Linneweber, and Tom Culp. In Bruceville, another town convention is scheduled for this Friday to decide the Republican Clerk/Treasurer candidate. The forthcoming winner will also assume office in January, unopposed on the fall ballot.
