Moderate Relief Expected as Indiana Gas Prices Set to Dip

Get ready for a slight relief at the pump as gas prices in Indiana are expected to ease a bit this week. GasBuddy, however, advises against expecting a significant drop. According to Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, the decrease follows a rapid price increase, so the reduction won’t likely bring rates back to the levels of a month ago. For instance, Indianapolis saw prices around $3.22 just a month ago. Also on the horizon, stations will transition to cheaper winter gasoline. DeHaan highlights that this shift could happen as early as September 16th, when the EPA’s regulations for summer gasoline programs end. Notably, northwest Indiana should see more significant savings due to its switch to less expensive winter gasoline.
