Princeton Firefighters Tackle Complex Extraction in Commercial Vehicle Crash on US 41

The Princeton Area Firefighters Union Local 1634 responded to a commercial motor vehicle accident at US 41/CR 100 W. Two semi-trucks and one passenger car were involved in the collision, resulting in heavy damage to the semis and minor damage to the car. Firefighters faced a complex extrication as one of the drivers was belted in and trapped upside down. The crew diligently stabilized the cab before carefully removing the driver from the wreckage. He was rushed to a local trauma center with severe injuries. The other two passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for evaluation. The Indiana State Police are currently reconstructing the accident scene to determine the cause.
