White River Valley School District Partners with Wagler’s for Bus Driver Training Program

The White River Valley School District is taking action to address the need for more bus drivers by collaborating with Wagler’s Education and Training Center in Lyons. The program offers training for obtaining CDL-B and school bus driver certifications. Aspiring drivers can participate in one-week training sessions each month, starting in September, and become certified by Thanksgiving. Superintendent Dr. Bob Hacker emphasized that there is no cost for the training. The certification opportunity is not limited to the district’s residents. People from other areas, such as Linton, Evansville, and Vincennes, are welcome to join the partnership and benefit from becoming licensed school bus drivers. Those interested in the program can contact Wagler’s Education and Training Center for more information.
