As the legislative session is on break, the area’s two state senators have received their summer study committee assignments. State Senator Eric Bassler, representing District 39 and hailing from Washington, has been appointed as the chair of the Legislative Council’s Audit and Financial Reporting Subcommittee. Additionally, Senator Bassler will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight, enabling him to contribute to matters concerning financial reporting and pension management. In District 48, Senator Mark Messmer from Jasper will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation.
