Fugitive Eric James King Apprehended After Dramatic Chase and Crash

Indiana State Police and local authorities report that their search for an escapee believed to be armed and dangerous has ended. 42-year-old Eric James King of Paoli escaped out of Martin County yesterday. Officers located King on US 231 in Daviess County, but he refused to comply and left the scene in a vehicle that ran out of gas and pulled into a private driveway. When officers attempted to apprehend King a second time, he eluded them and stole a police vehicle to get away. Until he crashed into a field in Greene County. After an extensive search of the area, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports King has now been taken into custody without incident 4:06 am. this morning.
