A motorcycle accident occurred yesterday afternoon, near the Walmart located at 1801 S. State Road 57. The incident took place at approximately 1:50 p.m. when the driver lost control of the motorcycle. According to the police report, no other vehicles were involved in the accident, and the driver stated that the bike got away from him, causing him to lay it down. Fortunately, there were no reports of anyone being thrown from a vehicle. Authorities have issued a citation for a violation of the motorcycle learner permit to the driver. No major injuries were reported.
