Master Trooper Patrick Stinson has been promoted to Detective at the Jasper District by Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter. Stinson, a 15-year veteran and native of Crawford County, graduated from the Indiana State Police Recruit Academy in December 2007. He served at the Sellersburg Post for 11 years before transferring to the Jasper District in 2018. Stinson was previously part of the all-crime policing team in Jasper, focusing on fugitive apprehension. In October 2022, he temporarily worked as a detective in the Criminal Investigation Division. Throughout his career, Stinson has received numerous awards and recognition for his dedication to the people of Indiana.
