good-samaritan-hospital-2

Good Samaritan will be collaborating with the Knox County Health Department (KCHD) to offer health screenings and immunizations to the community. This collaboration will begin July 1 when Good Samaritan’s Community Health Services Department will be set to close.
As part of the Governor’s Public Health Commission, KCHD has access to increased funding through the State to grow services that were historically provided by Good Samaritan Community Health. The State is committing $300 million over the next two years to county health departments across the 92 counties of Indiana.
Good Samaritan will continue to work closely with the Knox County Health Department to ensure that the community has access to valuable services such as health screenings, health literacy and education along with immunizations that have been provided for years under Good Samaritan Community Health Services. Welch Diabetes Education, which shared a location with Community Health, will continue to operate under Good Samaritan.
