FDA Recall Announcement: Potential Hepatitis A Contamination in Great Value Frozen Strawberries and Mixed Fruit

Willamette Valley Fruit Co is voluntarily recalling select packages of frozen fruit, including frozen strawberries, due to potential Hepatitis A contamination. Hepatitis A is a contagious liver disease with symptoms such as fatigue, abdominal pain, and jaundice. The affected products were distributed to Walmart and Costco stores in various states from October 2022 to June 2023. Recalled products include: Walmart’s Great Value Sliced Strawberries, Great Value Mixed Fruit, and Great Value Antioxidant Blend. Consumers are advised to check their freezers, discard or return the recalled products, and consult a healthcare professional if they have consumed the affected items or show symptoms of Hepatitis A.
