Dorothy V. Cooper, 92, passed away at Gentle Care Nursing Home at 6:05 pm on June 10, 2023. Dorothy was born on September 2, 1930, in Gaffney, SC and she is the daughter of Gaither and Margaret (Martin) Davis. She married Thomas W. Cooper on May 2, 1952, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2007
Dorothy was a graduate of Gaffney High School in Gaffney, SC. She enjoyed collecting dolls, bowling, being outside gardening, canning and playing bunko. Dorothy also was a member of First Baptist Church. Most importantly though, she loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Kim Dognaux and her husband Jeff of Greenwood, IN, Karen Goodman and her husband Mark of Vincennes, Kathy Southwood and her husband Rob of Vincennes her grandchildren, Lauren Goodman, Ryan Dougnaux, Seth Dougnaux, Chloe Goodman, Shelby Goodman, Hannah Southwood, Heidi Southwood; great grandchildren, Finnegan and Saoirse Dognaux. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Gaither and Margaret Davis, husband Tom Cooper, siblings, Malvin Spencer, Alice Fowler, Blanche Kaiser, Gaither B. Davis and her grandson Collin Goodman.
Graveside services for Dorothy will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday June 17, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 919 Willow St., Vincennes, IN.
