missing-person-found-3

Two missing juveniles in a rural area of Perry County have been located safely, thanks to a coordinated effort by local authorities. The Perry County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the missing children, a five-year-old female and a three-year-old male, near a home on Orchid Rd. in St. Croix. Multiple law enforcement agencies from Southern Indiana, volunteer firefighters, K-9 units from out-of-state agencies, an Indiana State Police helicopter, and local volunteers swiftly mobilized to comb the heavily wooded area. At around 12:51 p.m., the male juvenile was discovered by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office and search and rescue personnel in a densely forested region. Roughly an hour later, at approximately 1:51 p.m., state troopers located the female juvenile in another heavily wooded area. Both children received medical attention from EMS personnel and were subsequently reunited with their relieved parents. This successful collaboration among multiple agencies played a vital role in ensuring the safe recovery and reunion of the missing children.
