Jessie Edna (Hannah) Glasenapp, 96, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 14, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Jessie was born, a twin, on September 29, 1926 and was the daughter of Harry and Jessie (Setzer) Hannah . She was the wife of Herman Glasenapp, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2015.
Jessie Edna was a lifelong member of Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church. She had worked alongside her husband Herman farming for many years. Jessie cherished her time with her family and always made them her priority as well as her faith and friends.
Surviving Jessie Edna are her daughters, Jeanne Sue Glasenapp Walker and Brenda Jo Glasenapp; her two beloved dogs, Valintino and Benny. Preceding her in death is her husband, Herman Glasenapp, Jr.; brothers, Twin Harry David Hannah who passed away as an infant and James O. Hannah (O.J.); and sister, Marjorie Hannah.
Visitation for Jessie Edna will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home from 10:00am – 1:00pm with a funeral service beginning promptly at 1:00pm. Pastor Wally Cullen will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, Vincennes Pet Port, or Hamline Chapel United Methodist Cemetery. A private burial will be held at a later date. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Jessie Edna.
