Tragic Single-Vehicle Accident Claims Life of Young Vincennes Man

On Friday night, May 12, a fatal single-vehicle accident occurred around 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of Monroe School Road and Small Road. The crash resulted in the loss of a young Vincennes man’s life. The driver was identified as 20-year-old Keeton Walker, a resident of Vincennes. Walker was trapped inside his 2006 Mercedes following the collision and required extrication assistance from the Harrison Township Fire Department. Walker’s passenger, Dalton Kirby, also 20 years old and from Vincennes, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. It was revealed that Kirby had not been wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident. Emergency medical services transported Walker to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes initially, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He is currently receiving treatment for his serious condition. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
