jasper-police-2

In the early hours of May 13, the Jasper Police Department (JPD) responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver leaving the Sunoco Gas Station at 1402 Newton St. The officers quickly located a vehicle matching the description in the parking lot of Ross, located at 3870 N. Newton St. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as 37-year-old Eric Kreiger, the officers conducted an investigation and determined that he was indeed intoxicated. Kreiger refused to undergo a chemical test. A search warrant was obtained to obtain a blood sample. However, Kreiger further obstructed justice by refusing to comply with the search warrant. As a result, Kreiger was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), Obstruction of Justice, and Public Intoxication. He was transported to the Dubois County Security Center and lodged there.
