Minor Injuries in Multiple-Vehicle Accident at Loogootee Intersection

A multiple-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of E US Highway 50 and N 1250 E in Loogootee, IN, at 8:04 a.m. on May 2. According to police reports, a semi-truck rear-ended another semi-truck, and a car may have been involved as well. Although it is unclear how many people were injured, the injuries were minor, and no one was trapped or thrown from their vehicle. The patient, a 66-year-old man, was alert and able to talk and breathe normally. Loogootee fire was requested but later disregarded. At 8:41 AM, INDOT was contacted to bring sand for oil in the roadway, and at 10:25 AM, the nature of the incident was changed from an accident with personal injuries to an accident with property damage. The roadway was cleared by 11:58 a.m.
