Faye W. (Myers) Winkler

Faye W. (Myers) Winkler, 82, of Vincennes, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 with her family by her side.  Faye was born on November 6, 1940 in Elberfeld, Indiana.  She graduated from Oakland City High School in 1958 and was the daughter of Paul and Frankie Myers. Her husband, Elmer Winkler preceded her death in 2011.

Faye was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her adoring family. She was a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church where she volunteered her time and helped with the distribution of communion. Faye enjoyed church activities, gardening, being with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family. She was a beautiful and graceful lady inside and out, as she was Miss Gibson County in 1958.  Faye retired from Hoosier Gas Company as a clerk accountant.
Surviving Faye are her children, Leah Jessee and her husband Jeff; Greg Winkler and his wife Brenda; grandchildren, Michelle Sexton and her husband Trevor, Kristin Davis and her husband Dusty, Kayla Cash and her husband Harrison, and Kara Potts and her husband Evan; great grandchildren, Macy Sexton, Conner Sexton, Dylan Sexton, Kaiden Sexton, Koen Davis, Kate Davis, Lily Davis, Micah Davis, Wyatt Whitaker, Evelyn Cash, Madison Potts, Isaac Potts, and Eleanor Faye Potts; sister, Rhonda Hoover of Oakland City. Preceding Faye in death are her parents, Paul and Frankie Myers; birth mother, Esther (Tisdale) Knight; grandmother, Maggie Powers; and brother, Paul Myers Jr.
Visitation for Faye will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 10:00am – 2:00pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home 524 Broadway St. Vincennes, Indiana. The funeral service will begin promptly at 2:00 pm, following the visitation.  Pastor Matthew Smith from Franklin Heights Christian Church will officiate.   Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Faye.
