The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for Daviess, Greene, Martin, and Monroe counties, recommending people avoid outdoor burning and activities that create sparks.
The warning will be in effect today from noon to 8 p.m. due to warm temperatures, low humidity, and a strong wind that create a high risk of fires spreading rapidly.
