Early Voting Begins April 21st for Daviess County Primary Election, Featuring Contested City Council Race and New Voting Centers

Early voting for the May 2 primary election in Daviess County is set to begin on April 21st at the courthouse. This year, the only contested race is for Washington City Council District 1, which covers precincts 5 and 15 in the city. Milton went on to say that Daviess County is now set up with voting centers, which will make voting more convenient for all residents.


Residents can vote early at the courthouse from April 21st to May 1st, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays (April 22nd and 29th). Early voting will also be available at the National Guard Armory on April 22 and 29, from 9 to 11 a.m. On Election Day, voting will be held at the courthouse only, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daviess County Clerk Lauren Milton has emphasized that the county is now equipped with voting centers to provide greater convenience to all voters.
