William L. Waggoner

William L. Waggoner, 54, of Shoals, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
Born October 13, 1968, in Washington, IN, he was the son of Walter E. Waggoner and Nancy C. (Bowman) Gay.
He married Sue Wessell on July 10, 1993 and she survives.
William graduated from Shoals High School with the class of 1987 and received his Associates Degree from Ivy Tech, Bloomington. He was very active at the Shoals High School with the Band Boosters. He loved fishing, working with his lawn mowers, video gaming with his wife and daughters, and spending time with his family. William was an all-around handy man, able to fix and repair about anything.
William worked at Jasper Rubber as a Lead Man for 17 years.
Surviving are his wife, Sue; daughters, Kristen Waggoner, and Mallory Waggoner; father, Walter E. (Margaret) Waggoner; mother, Nancy C. (Bill) Gay; grandmother, Viola Waggoner; siblings, Claudia (Patrick) Chatman, Matthew (Penny) Waggoner, Tamara (Brent) Shurig, and Tricia (Duane) Potts; nieces and nephews, Jasmine Chatman, Josey (Nate) Seevers, Jarod Waggoner, Seirra (Ulrich) Kinnaman, Kayla Wessell, Brandon Moffett, Katlyn (Colton) Riley, Kelsey Potts, and Kayla Potts; several great-nieces and great-nephews; brother-in-law, Chuck (Trudy) Wessell; sisters-in-law, Helen (Jim) Acton and Charlene Burr; aunt and uncle, Jack and Donna Roberson.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Harold and Laura Bowman; grandfather, Claudie L. Waggoner; and niece, Meranda Kay Waggoner.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care with Stan Day officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Wednesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shoals High School Band Boosters or Shoals High School Robotics Team.
