Washington Junior Brady Byrd continues his fine wrestling at the 34TH ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL NATIONALS March 24-26, 2023 at the VIRGINIA BEACH SPORTS CENTER in VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. High School Nationals is the premier wrestling tournament in the country, wrestlers from across the country compete to become All-Americans. Over 5000 wrestlers will be represented. Byrd competed in the Junior 106 lb. bracket with 47 other wrestlers. Brady placed 6th place giving him All American status.
Brady reached the Semifinals before taking his 1st loss. He then had to medically Forfeit his 2 remaining matches due to an ankle injury that kept him from competing.
2023 Indiana Mr. Basketball will be announced live on April 19 during the Indiana High School Sports Awards show, presented by the Indiana Pacers. The six finalists for the award will be invited to the show, which will begin at 7 p.m. at Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University in Indianapolis.
South Carolina is heading to a third straight Final Four, with a chance at a second straight national championship. The top-ranked Gamecocks defeated No. 2 seed Maryland 86-75 in the Elite Eight Their undefeated streak now sits at 41 games.

7:00 pm on ESPN its 3rd seed LSU versus 1 seed Virginia Tech. LSU comes into the game at 29 and 2 while Va Tech come in at 26 and 4. In game 2 it’s those South Carolina Gamecocks at 31 and 0 versus Iowas who is a 2 seed and 25 and 6. That game is at 9:00 pm on ESPN.
