Jasper Municipal Water Department has issued a boil order for a small part of the city due to water main valve replacements.
Only Bartley Street from Sixth Street to Ninth Street and Ninth Street from Bartley to Mill Street are affected.
The boil order will be in effect for at least 48 hours until two consecutive water samples pass testing.
Residents in this area are asked to boil their water for 5 minutes before consumption.
The water is safe for bathing.
