David L. Sullivan

David L. Sullivan, 73, of Washington, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. David was born March 3, 1950, in Washington, to Donald and Opal (Charles) Sullivan. On June 17, 1978, he married Christa Brigitta Arwginski.
In his younger days, David enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, mushroom hunting, and fishing on the White River, especially with his uncle and fishing buddy, Dale (Black Jack/Blackie) Sullivan. He also enjoyed gardening and raising birds of all kinds.
David was retired from Johnson Controls in Vincennes.
David was hardworking, had a simple straightforward view of life, a great sense of humor, and loved a good prank.
David is survived by his wife, Christa Sullivan; sons, Sonny Hyde and Jay Dee Hyde; and daughter, Angel Petrimoulx, all in Arizona; and his Uncle Dude Sullivan in Washington. David was blessed with five grandchildren: Sonny II; Heather; Bodie; Felicia; and Adrian; and seven great-grandchildren: Maddox; Jackson; Nixon; Zane; Alaura; Nadia; and Damien. He is also survived by brothers: Darrell Sullivan; Jerry Sullivan; and sister, Lola Page. Additionally, there are several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Opal Sullivan; daughter, Amy Elizabeth Sullivan; and brother, Donald Sullivan.
Visitation for David L. Sullivan will be 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Ed L. Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for David L. Sullivan will be immediately following the visitation and will begin at 1:00 pm, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
