Daviess County Museum in Washington, Indiana, is set to launch its new first-floor exhibit and program hall with a grand opening party from April 17th to the 21st. The museum’s flagship exhibit, featuring eight steps that explore the culture, economy, and lifestyle of Daviess County from the early pioneer days through 1930, will be open to visitors during the museum’s regular hours. Admission is free, and the museum is located at 212 E. Main St. in Washington, IN. The new exhibit is part of a larger building project that includes new work areas for museum volunteers and other facilities. Museum president Monty Critchlow expressed excitement about the reveal, saying that the project has been two years in the making and is the biggest project the museum has ever undertaken. The community’s support was also appreciated, according to museum director Becky Kremp.
