Main St. Washington Merchants Offered Façade Improvement Grants Thanks to Discover Downtown Washington

discover-washington

The new Discover Downtown Washington group is proud to kick off a new program for downtown merchants and businesses. The downtown façade improvement grant is up and running thanks to help from the city of Washington and Daviess County officials. The group has received a $40 thousand dollar commitment from the city and county to help improve storefronts in the downtown district. This will extend from East Eighth Street to the Carnegie Public Library and from the railroad tracks to Hefron Street. And will be limited to commercial properties. It is a reimbursement program. Submit plans, get them approved, do the work, and get reimbursed. Businesses wanting to apply for the grants can go online at DiscoverDowntownWashington.com or contact Amber Werden with Daviess County Economic Development. The grants are limited, so act fast and take advantage of this great opportunity now to improve your property in historic downtown Washington. The grant application process begins today.
