A few serious road accidents happened around Daviess County yesterday. 5 people were involved in a wreck at 225 E and 450 S at approximately 3:25 PM yesterday. According to the police report, one person at the scene was unconscious, and a vehicle was in a ditch. A request for AirEvac was made but was later disregarded. The condition of those involved in this wreck is not known at this time. One subject was transported to Jasper, and two subjects were transported to DCH by ambulance.
Another accident occurred yesterday at 150 S State Road 257 in Washington at 4:35 p.m. The police report states one vehicle was flipped over and two vehicles were in the ditch. It was reported that one person was bleeding from the neck, and a request for AirEvac was made. Two subjects were transported by ambulance to DCH, and no more information was given on this accident.
A semi-truck accident occurred in Plainville late last night. At 11:10 p.m., a caller reported an overturned semi at 1000N and 400E in Plainville. The fire department was called in due to the truck leaking fuel. The semi overturning caused some damage to the roadway, so be careful if you are traveling in that area. According to the police report, the driver of the semi was not injured, but they did go to the hospital to get checked out.
