Vera M. (Rhoads) Clark, 81, of Washington, Indiana, went to her Heavenly home on December 23, 2022, at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington.
She was born on May 30, 1941 to the late Marian and Catherine (Belcher) Rhoads in Washington, Indiana.
Vera graduated from Washington High School in 1959. Afterwards, she married the love of her life, Donald R. “Don” Clark, and he preceded her in death in 2014. Together they had three children: Denise, Donna, and Doug. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Washington, Indiana. Vera loved to work puzzles, and to watch the New York Yankees. She also enjoyed watching IU basketball, the Washington Hatchets, and game shows.
Surviving Vera are her children, Denise Rodgers (Shannon) of Washington, Donna Kay Hedrick (Timothy) of Washington, Donald Douglas “Doug” Clark (Melissa) of Montgomery, Indiana, her grandchildren, Alyson Denise Stoll (Emanuel), Audrey Lynn Sama (Justin), Emily Catherine Hedrick Burton (Tristan), Dylan Timothy Hedrick (Rebekah), Austin Douglas Clark, and Luke Owen Clark, her great – grandchildren, Alexis Burton, Hudson Stoll, Noah Hedrick, Isaac Burton, Lincoln Stoll, and Jude Hedrick and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marian and Catherine, her husband, Don, and her brothers, Edward, Eugene, and Donald Rhoads.
Vistation for Vera will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, Indiana 47501. A funeral
service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 1:00pm with Pastor Tom Watson officiating. Friends and family may visit from 12:00pm until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Aikman Creek Cemetery in Washington, Indiana, where Vera will be laid to rest next to her husband, Don.
