Martin County results from last night’s election: first for prosecutor, incumbent Aureola Vincz squeaked out a narrow win over her independent challenger and former prosecutor Mike Steiner, with 1816 votes for Vincz and 1633 for Steiner. Paul George wins the District 2 County Commissioner seat over DeAndra Magdelano (1785 for George, 1168 for Magdelano). For County Council in District 3, Monty Gregory defeats Richard Summers (494 votes for Gregory; Summers received 369 votes). Mitcheltree Township Trustee Terry Gore wins with 141 votes to Rosalee Bateman’s 115 votes. For the three seats on the Shoals Town Council, Roger Abel, Micky Crew, and Cary Albright will get them, with Abel getting 160 votes, Crew getting 148, and Albright getting 129. Cecil Ragsdale was just short with 101 votes, Richard Gibbs had 77 votes, and Walter Holt had 37 votes. There were 3,606 ballots cast in Martin County.
