Plenty to do This Weekend

It will be a busy Saturday around the area. From the high school volleyball and soccer tournaments to Odon’s Pumpkin Festival there is plenty to do around the area today.
At 9:45 a.m. this morning, Shoals will take on Rivet in the volleyball sectional at Springs Valley…and you can hear that game on WRZR
At 11:00 at Eastern Greene High School, the Lady Cougars of North Daviess take on Linton in the volleyball section semifinals..
Then at 12:15 p.m. its back to Springs Valley where, Loogootee and Springs Valley squaring off…again you can hear that game on WRZR.
At 12:15, it will be Barr-Reeve volleyball as the Lady Vikings take on Southridge at Vincennes in semifinal action. That match can be heard on the General. If the Vikings advance they will move to the championship round at 5:45 p.m….again on the General.
Then at 2:00 p.m. the Lady Hatchets will host Evansville Memorial in the championship game of the soccer regional. That match is at the Sports Complex here in Washington. You can follow the Lady Hatchets on Memories 107.9
Then in downtown Odon, the annual Pumpkin Festival will kick off in at noon. The Odon Business Alliance is the sponsor of the Pumpkin Festival. There will be stands, inflatables, food, and activities for the entire family. Over 40 vendors are expected for the Festival. The traditional masquerade, open to children of all ages, will begin at 3:30 p.m. That’s the Hometown Pumpkin Festival in downtown Odon, tomorrow between noon and 5:00 p.m.
