The Washington Catholic girls’ soccer team faced Blue Chip conference foe North Knox on Saturday and secured a 8-1 victory. WC was led by Senior Mya Cline with 4 goals. Other scorers included Angela Santiago-1, Mariana Becerra-1, Rosie Serrano-1, and Brynna Hunter-1. WC will finish out their regular season on Thursday
The Barr-Reeve High School soccer team travelled to WRV’s pitch on Saturday and were defeated 3 nil. The Vikings host Mitchell on Tuesday with kickoff set for 6:00 pm. Behind Antioch Church to end the regular season
Congratulations to the North Daviess tennis team and coach John Patrick Mullen!  ND wins SWIAC tourney and all 7 Cougs sweep All-conference spots.  Jaylen Mullen and the doubles team  Colin Kemp/Breck Byrer won the individual singles and doubles titles.
Sectional starts at 4:30 Wednesday from Tony Steele Tennis Courts We’re in for a whopper of a tennis sectional this week.
Castle is your regional golf champions from the Country Oaks regional on Saturday.  Bedford North Lawrence and Gibson  Southern also advance to Friday and Saturdays state finals at Prarie View in Carmel.  South Knox’s Trinity Dubbs and Jaspers Emma Ruxer also qualified as an individuals.   Lady Hatchet Channey Clark just missed qualifying with a solid 84.  The Sectional Champion Barr Reeve Lady Vikings finished the day in the middle of the pack but picked up 7 more wins to finish their historic season at 64 and 20.

The Indianapolis Colts (1-1-1) pulled off a miracle Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs (2-1) by score of 20-17.
In a game where the Colts defense showed up in a dominant effort, quarterback Matt Ryan helped lead the game-winning drive, throwing a touchdown pass to rookie tight end Jelani Woods with 24 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
 
 
Though it appeared as if it might be a close race a few times Sunday, the United States ultimately prevailed with relative ease at the 2022 Presidents Cup to clinch a ninth straight trophy in the biannual event. The Americans’ status was never truly in doubt despite the International team pushing the hosts on Saturday and getting off to a hot start Sunday when the 12 singles matches were played to close out four days of action at Quail Hollow Golf Club.  Final tally 15.5 – 9.5
