Clyde Steven Trambaugh

Clyde Steven Trambaugh, 73, of Loogootee, passed away Thursday, September 15,
2022 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick.
He was born May 21, 1949, in Loogootee, Indiana to the late Willard John and
Alma Elizabeth “Libby” (Swayze) Trambaugh.
Clyde was a United States Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was
awarded with several decorations and medals, including a Purple Heart and Bronze
Star for his heroic effort during his time of service.
He retired after 42 years of employment at NAVFAC, where he was a heavy
equipment mechanic. Clyde was the past Commander for the American Legion –
Post 120 and the past Vice Commander for the local American Legions. He was
also a member of the Veteran of Foreign War – Post 9395.
Clyde loved the outdoors. You could often find him fishing, hunting or out in the
boat. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Trambaugh; parents, Willard and
Libby Trambaugh; sister, Madge Noreen Trambaugh.
Clyde is survived by his son, Bryant (Amy) Trambaugh of Loogootee;
stepdaughters, Jaymie Moss of Knightstown and Michele (Alan) Doyle of
Batesville; grandchildren, Kayla (Chad) Wurst, Carson Trambaugh, Coen
Trambaugh, Danielle (Mitch) Jeffers, Ashley Gohler, Emily Moss, Adam Moss,
Samantha Doyle and Brandon Doyle; 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2022
at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer
Society.
