Jerry Beck was selected to fill the seat in the Elnora town Council. The seat was vacated after the resignation of charlotte bell in August. After a unanimous decision, Beck repeated the oath of office and was officially seated according to the Odon Journal.Beck is a retired EMT with the local ambulance service and he has served multiple terms on the board a few years ago. Other Issues were discussed in the meeting, such as what to do with old buildings, writing off accounts of the deceased and those whose current address is unknown. Fire department chief Rob Dove reported that about 95% of the equipment ordered last year is finally being delivered. Dove says the current pumper for water is an issue, and there is only 1 pumper strong enough for structural fires.
