Don Thomas Sabla

Don Thomas Sabla, 76 of Oaktown, passed away on Thursday, September 1st, 2022.
Don was born in Terre Haute on November 30th, 1945 to Edward C. and Miriam K. (Elston) Sabla.
On June 26th, 1999, Don married the love of his life Deborah Ann (Stuffle) Sabla. He graduated from ISU, earning a Bachelors degree. Don served in the Army and also retired from the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility.
Don loved fishing with his best friend Cecil Meeks, traveling with his wife, sister and brother-in-law Karlene and Rick Donica. He looked forward to watching his grandchildren in sports, plays and just loved spending time with of his grandchildren.
The joy of his life was spending his days with his bride, Deborah; his stepchildren, Ryan and Vanessa (Breeden) Wagler and their children, Luke and Whitney Wagler, Leslie Wagler, Sam Jarvis, and their children, Elise and Evan Campbell, and Eli Eaden, and Natalie Wagler and her children Jaleeyah and Jakhi Johnson.
Don is survived by; his wife,  Deborah; brother and sister in law Paul and Sharon (Brayfield) Sabla; nieces and nephews, Mark and Michelle (Bass) Sabla, Marc and Amy (Sabla) Wolfe, Brian and Shannon Sabla, Gregg ;great nieces and nephews, Amber and Addison Wolfe, Bryan, Eddie, Mannie and Colin Sabla.
He is preceded in death by; his parents Edward and Miriam, brother and sister in law Mark and one nephew Stephen Sabla.
Thomas’s family welcomes online condolences to be left at www.fredrickandson.com. The staff at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt, Oaktown Chapel are honored to be entrusted with arrangements. A celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later date.
