A couple of good wins for the Washington Boys Soccer team over the weekend. The Hatchets beat South Spencer 4 to 1.
Wyatt Owens and Dominic Mattingly had 2 goals each. Jason Morales, Olsen Kroeger, and Mattingly each had an assist.
 
And then they defeated Tell City 4-0 with goals by David Dubon, Wyatt Owens, Kevin Bonilla, and Jason Morales. Julian Santillan and Michael McCarthy combined for the shutout in goal.
 
Lady Hatchet Soccer lost 4-0 on Friday to Terre Haute North. All games on Saturday were called off due to weather.
 
The Barr Reeve Volleyball team picked up an impressive win in their own invitational on Saturday. In the championship game, it was the. Vikings 25-15, 23-25, 15-13 over Trinity Lutheran.  Barr Reeve is now 14-1 on the year.  Ranked #3 in 3A, and now #12 overall.  Play 1A #1 Springs Valley (#20 overall) on Tuesday in Montgomery.
 
 
 
The Barr Reeve cross-country teams competed in the Terre Haute Savings Bank State Preview Meet for small schools 1-3a. The Viking Girls placed 2nd place out of 12 teams. While the Viking Boys placed 3rd as a team.
 
Washington Hatchet girls golf team got rained out on Saturday afternoon in their PAC conference championship at Country Oaks. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
