Russell W.P. White

Russell W.P. White 96 of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 with his loving family at his side.
Russell was born in Martin County on July 14, 1926 to the late Roy O. White and Zella Bonner White.
Russell was a member of; Christ United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, Daviess County Farm Bureau Co-op member and was later elected to the State Co-op Board, he was a Lt in indiana national guard in daviess county and a member of the Army Rifle Team and competed in several national competitions and winning several medals while competing at Camp Perry. Russell was a retired farmer. He enjoyed; the outdoors, spending time with his family. He was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School.
Those left to mourn the loss of Russell are; his loving children, Janet Elaine Browning, and Larry Preston White (Cyndee); grandchildren, Christina Hunt (Adam), Kurtis Browning (Brandy), Rachel McStay (Hugh), Amy White, and Kayla Kuchta; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; his wife, Marjorie Jean Leimberger White; three sisters, Otho Wilson, Melba Riggins, Ruth Harshaw; and a brother, Ralph White.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. with a service immediately following, to be officiated by, Rev. Roy Ice at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St. Washington, IN 47501. The family welcomes online condolences be left at www.gillsince1872.com. The staff at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home are honored to be entrusted with Mr. White’s arrangements.
