Dr. Temple Grandin Speaks at WHS

The Daviess-Martin County Special Education Co-Op and Indiana University Research Center for Autism presented guest speaker Dr. Temple Grandin yesterday at WHS.

Dr. Grandin is a prominent author and speaker on both autism and animal behavior and is a professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University.

She offered two sessions in the high school auditorium yesterday, first speaking to local 4-H and FFA members in the region about the importance of good stockmanship, which was followed by the afternoon session devoted to teachers and families as we start the new school year about developing different kinds of minds.

A big crowd gathered for yesterday’s presentation.

A movie has been produced on the life of Dr. Grandin entitled “Temple Grandin” that is available on the Apple TV stream.
