Marilyn L. Cunningham, 85, of Loogootee, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born June 5, 1937, in Loogootee, Indiana to the late James and Harriet (Jones) Yarbrough.
Marilyn was a hairdresser for 40 years in Loogootee. She also managed and operated Breaktime Bar and Grill for 21 years.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 120.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeane (Pal) Deckard; great-granddaughter, Christine Miller; nephew, Scott Deckard.
She is survived by her son, James Wayne (Georgia) Cunningham; grandchildren, Jasmine Cunningham and spouse, Rodney Denham, Mackenzie (Tyler) Bullock, Lucas Cunningham, Danielle (Keith) Kemp and Whitney (Jeremy) Hinton; great-grandchildren, Evan Cunningham, Claire, Kendell and Grace Kemp; cousins, Sue Jones, Lee (Brenda) Jones and Steve Jones; nieces, Sharon (Joe) Vice and Carla Hall; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 5th, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee, officiated by Rev. J. Kenneth Walker. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
No visitation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
